Who we are
Guess My Aesthetic (“the app”, guessmyaesthetic.com) is run by Leonardo Cametti (A Good Eye), the data controller. For any privacy request, email leonardocametti@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Your email address — collected when you sign in with a one-time code, so we can create your account and let you see your results. You can’t reveal a result without signing in.
- Your discovery history — which aesthetics your images matched, and when. This powers your personal board. It is linked to your account.
- Anonymous analysis data — for each image we keep the visual style we detected (colours, mood, tags) and which aesthetics matched, to understand what the app is used for and improve it. This is aggregate, not linked to you, and never includes the image itself.
- The image you upload — sent to Google (Gemini) to analyse its visual style so we can find your aesthetics. It is processed in memory and never stored by us — no copy is saved to our servers or database. It is used only to detect visual style, not to identify you, and not for facial recognition.
Legal basis
We process your email and discovery history to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract / our legitimate interest in running the app). We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
Marketing emails
We only send newsletter or product-update emails if you tick the optional box when you sign in. That consent is separate from using the app — you can use everything without it — and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, which we act on right away.
Who we share it with
We use a small set of processors that handle data on our behalf under their own data-processing terms:
- Google (Gemini API) — analyses your uploaded image.
- Supabase — our database and authentication.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Resend — sends your sign-in code by email.
Some of these providers process data outside the EU (e.g. in the United States). Such transfers are covered by the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Your email and discovery history are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete them and we will remove your account and history. The uploaded image is discarded as soon as it has been analysed.
Cookies & analytics
We use one strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in. To measure traffic we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-friendly: it counts aggregate visits, referrers, and approximate country without setting cookies and without identifying you. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies — so there is no cookie banner to click through.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict your data, or object to its processing. Email leonardocametti@gmail.com and we’ll act within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the date above.
